A day at Little Hands Creative Cubs (KG)

In Little Hands Creative Cubs (Kindergarten), children prepare for Grade 1 with a structured curriculum. They learn life skills and academic concepts, including complex math, sentence construction and Hindi language. Our programs address each child’s needs, fostering exploration, questioning and communication. Activities include drawing, life cycle, dramatization, excursions and more.

MORNING BASKET

Arrival

Teachers at Little Hands welcome children with a puppet and a smile at the entry gate. Children exchange greetings and gestures of friendship as they make their way to class, creating a joyful and sociable start to their day.

Circle Time

During Circle Time, children participate to enhance their social and intellectual relationships with their classmates.

Life Skills

During this time, Little Hands children meditate, recite the Gayatri mantra and Sanskaram and learn valuable life skills and morals such as respecting elders, conserving energy and water and more.

Concept Time

A thematic approach helps children make deeper connections, enhancing their critical thinking skills as they regularly examine, compare, analyze viewpoints, use knowledge and generate new ideas.

Rhyme Time

Rhymes and song sessions provide unstructured learning opportunities that enhance cognition, focus, spatial awareness and memory.

ENGAGING AND INQUIRY LEARNING

Reading Time

Little Hands children spend time in the library, selecting books based on their preferences. Facilitators ask insightful questions that promote learning and enhance the language and communication skills of our young learners.

Montessori Time

Little Hands children use classroom teaching tools, becoming competent, enthusiastic and self-assured learners. They are encouraged to investigate, inquire and interact while using these tools.

LANGUAGE / LITERACY DEVELOPMENT

In our inquiry-based teaching approach, we develop both receptive (listening and comprehending) and expressive (using language to express ideas) skills in both Hindi and English for Little Hands children.

Children explore concepts such as modes of communication, ancient and modern transportation, the universe and animal classification. They engage in picture talks and group discussions to enhance their communication skills. In literacy, children are introduced to 3- and 4-letter words, digraphs, spatial words, action words and pointing words through stories and flashcards.

LOGICAL DEVELOPMENT

Children at Little Hands learn numbers up to 100 (oral and written), backward counting, time, money, addition, subtraction, skip counting, number comparison and concepts like before, after and between through experiential learning. This helps them develop memory retention, logical thinking and the ability to reason and draw conclusions.

03

EXPRESSIVE ARTS & DESIGNS

Activity Time

Little Hands children explore their environment, gaining knowledge under the watchful eye of facilitators. We nurture their enthusiasm and guide them in more challenging tasks like dressing up, riding trikes, sowing seeds, cooking without fire, drawing, coloring and creating from scratch. Our focus is on fostering attentiveness and creativity to encourage each child to become a safe and confident explorer.

Worksheet Time

Children at Little Hands complete worksheets to enhance their thinking skills and attention span. They also engage in activities like role-playing, picture talk, storytelling and group discussions to stimulate interest, participation and language development.

Recapitulation Time

During recapitulation time, children review their day and connect it to the lessons taught to enhance learning and reinforce knowledge.

Dispersal

Before the day ends, children at Little Hands receive support and appreciation with smiles and stars. They use the restroom, wash their faces, hang their bags and say goodbye to friends and facilitators, looking forward to reconnecting the next day.
